This massive museum is on the site of the former home of Eliyahu Golomb, one of the founders of the Haganah, the pre-state Jewish army that would become the basis for the Israel Defence Forces. The ground floor rooms have been restored to recreate a sense of how the family once lived; there are also biographical exhibits on Golomb's life.On the upper floors, along a winding passage, a multimedia narrative tells the story of the Haganah's struggles, from 1920 until the 1948 War of Independence.Explanatory information is provided in English and it is possible to select an English voice-over for the video presentations. Admission is free.
