Getting Around:
Remember that the Sabbath, lasting from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown, will limit or shut down public transportation. Taxis are plentiful in Tel Aviv, including sherut (shared taxis) and monit sherut (shared taxis operating along bus lines).

Driving
You can drive in Israel with a foreign license; just don't expect to cross any borders with your rental car. There are two major highways of note near Tel Aviv. The Ayalon Highway is a freeway from Holon to Herzliya, and the the Cross Israel Highway (Hwy 6) is a toll-way that runs North to South.
