Tianjin
Getting There/Around
Getting There:By Air: The Tianjin Binhai International Airport (TSN) is located in the Dongli District, on the eastern side of the urban area. Major airlines serving this airport include:
Japan Airlines: (+3 12 025 5971 / http://www.jal.co.jp/en/ )
Korean Air: (+1 800 438 5000 / http://www.koreanair.com/ )
By Train: Several train stations are located throughout the city, the largest one being Tianjin Railway Station. Tianjin is a key hub for all Northern China railways, making this an easy method of getting into the city.
By Bus: Tianjin is well connected by roads to other cities. Because of this, buses are constantly flowing in and out of the city. It is in the center of the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan expressway, which makes it easy to get to Beijing and other places in the Hebei Province.
Getting Around:
By Taxi: In Tianjin, you can find taxis just about everywhere and the prices are fairly cheap. It would be a bad idea to take a taxi near the railway stations, however, because your fare will go up as the taxi sits idle in traffic.
By Bus: The Bus System in Tianjin is the oldest in China. Just like the taxis, they are abundant and inexpensive (1 CNY for 12 km).
By Train: The old Tianjin metro, which can get you all over the city, was refurbished and reopened in May 2006. Also, a light rail runs from seaside to the urban area.
