Website | EmailOhya Shobo carries perhaps the largest selection in the world of Japanese 18th and 19th century illustrated books and woodblock prints. That includes an incredible collection of ukiyo-e woodblock prints. This is a traditional Japanese art form depicting everyday life in the Edo period (17th-19th centuries) in Edo, as Tokyo was then known. Ohya Shobo has many books and artifacts from the Edo period. In addition to literature, there are also maps of Japan and Edo dating from that period.
