This is a great source for rare and out-of-print books. Rare books in English are fairly scarce in Tokyo but if these are what you are looking for, a trip to Sancho Shobo could be worthwhile. For specific titles or authors, fax your requests to find out if the item is in stock, and ask for a price quote. A tip on shopping etiquette while bargaining is very much an accepted practice throughout most of Asia, this is not so in Japan. If you want to bargain, be extremely polite and do not expect a large discount.
