WebsiteThis builidng is a fantastic example of 20th century public architecture. All the best local craftsmen worked on its construction from 1916 onwards. The central hall with its impressive wooden ceiling is styled after the rooms of a Mudejar palace and is flanked on either side by two lateral naves (one of which connects to the clock tower). It is decorated in a mixture of forms and materials (brick, stone, plaster, ceramic, wood and iron) that sets it apart from other neo-Mudejar constructions of the time. And of course, it still offers an impressive welcome to the visitors who arrive by train.
