WebsiteAmid the bustle off Yonge and Bloor is an aromatic café that boasts fresh baked bread and a warm atmosphere. A French-Belgian bakery, Le Pain's philosophy centers around the large wooden communal table that anchors the restaurant. Community, simplicity, and organic ingredients surround Le Pain and its products. Breads are baked from linen baskets, and patrons are invited to experience food around the communal table: elements intended to bring diners back to a taste of old Europe. The menu offers up French classics like Omelettes and Tartines, traditional French fare consisting of a slice of bread with a spread on top. It has since evolved into an open-face sandwich of sorts, and Le Pain has an assortment of Tartines including Paris Ham and Shrimp and Avocado. Don't skip the pastries or coffee that's served in large bowls to sip from. – Tiffany Quan
