EmailThe Filmoteca is temporarily closed for renovations. Screenings are now being held in the Salon de Actos de IVAM Calle Guillem de Castro 118, and the Institut Français, Moro Ziet 6. The Filmoteca is one of the oldest cinemas in Valencia. It's subsidised by the government of Valencia. This cinema bases its programme of films on already released films. These are usually included in seasons that correspond to an actor, a director, a theme, a cinematic tendency or a different school. These can be either foreign or Spanish productions. It's worth noting that it is one of the few cinemas that screen short films. It is, at the same time, one of the most active cinemas during the annual Muestra de Cine del Mediterranni (Mediterranean Film Festival).
