It is a week-long musical celebration that is made up of concerts, symposiums, artist-and-composer talks and special events like the Competition for Emerging Composers. The fest has featured composers such as John Adams, Conlon Nancarrow, Linda Bouchard and Rudolf Komorous. The Vancouver New Music Ensemble, Standing Wave, Vancouver Pro Musica, Barbara Ebbeson and the Vetta String Quartet have been some of the guest artists and ensembles.
