EmailWriter, poet and notorious booze-lover Charles Bukowski provides the inspiration for this establishment's name and atmosphere. Divided into two levels, its upper floor contains plush velour sofas and large potted plants, while its lower holds a fully-stocked bar and bookshelf-lined walls. There are table-top literary quotes and black and white photographs of famous writers. Hot Water Music is a shrimp, scallop and salmon dish served with Udon noodles (CAD10). The elaborate wine and drink list is posted on a chalkboard—the martinis, such as the Faulkner, are popular orders.
