Website | EmailThis was one of the first trendy Beisl-style restaurants in town serving traditional Viennese cuisine. Today, the Ofenloch isn't nearly as far ahead of the curve, but the cooking continues to be excellent. On the menu, guests will find such Viennese classics as Tafelspitz mit Salat, Kernöl und roten Zwiebeln (specially boiled beef with salad, pumpkin seeds oil and red onions) as a starter; Rostbraten mit gebackenen Zwiebelringen in Rotweinsauce, Petersilerdäpfel (roastbeef with baked onion rings in a red wine sauce with parsley potatoes) as a main course; and, Bohemian pancakes as a dessert. Its 19th century-style décor, characterized by wood panelling and old-fashioned pictures on the walls, gives the Ofenloch its comfortable atmosphere. Guests can sit here quite happily until closing time.
