Located just five minutes southwest from downtown Xiamen this coastline stretches for miles offering visitors endless sunbathing opportunities. Besides swimming there are also numerous bike rental shops making for a great way to tour the coast. In true beach fashion vendors selling souvenirs, beach towels and all manner of food also line the route. The coast also furnishes a close-up view of Jinmen Island, less than a mile from shore, which is under Taiwanese control. Admission is free.
