Ramen (the ubiquitous truck driver's favor light meal), or long, thin egg noodles in a Chinese spicy soup, e.g. pork or chicken broth, garnished with bean sprouts and a slice of meat, is a popular Japanese snack or light meal. Besides exhibits illustrating ramen's history and culture, eight regional and specialty ramen shops are set up in a Shitamachi-like setting, creating an ambiance of Tokyo circa 1958.
