WebsiteThis is one of the city's oldest hotels, established in 1927. It was most recently renovated in 1992 and a tower was added to expand capacity to over 260 rooms. Because of its location directly in front of Yamashita Park and Yokohama Bay, it affords not only a splendid view but also easy access to all parts of the city, including Chinatown. For decades, it was a favorite with visiting dignitaries, although more deluxe accommodations have now rivaled The New Grand and relegated it to second tier among Yokohama lodgings.
