WebsiteThis Festival takes place between September and October every year. Over a 10-day period of feasting and fun, the annual Festival of Food and Drink offers a gourmet menu of 150 events including celebrity cookery shows, themed dinners, speciality food markets and wine and ale tastings. From banquets in medieval surroundings to alfresco samplings of local produce, the festival caters for all pockets and tastes. Admission is free to the main halls, but tickets are required for special events. Check the Web site or call for ticket and event time details.
