Known worldwide, this event dates back to the 14th and 16th centuries, and it was re-instated in 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain. Biblical in origin, 200 amateur and professional performers and musicians tell the stories of the history of the world, through 5 separate plays. The event takes place on two consecutive Sundays around mid-July. Check website for current dates.
