Website | EmailThe history of the Veltlinerkeller begins as early as 1325 when the building was constructed. The inauguration of the first restaurant called "Zum goldenen Schlüssel" took place in 1487. Since 1870 when this restaurant was taken over by Bündner (the Bündnerland is located in the South-Eastern part of Switzerland), red wine from the Veltlin has been served. The unique furniture provides a very warm ambiance . Specialties are particularly traditional - geschnetzeltes Kalbfleisch nach Züri Art (sliced veal with Rösti) - and mixed Grill. Of course a glass of red wine from the Veltlin compliments the localized cuisine nicely.
