Website | EmailOnce upon a time, Zurich's first-ever millionaire lived in this residence. The patrician's building was then converted, in the 16th Century, into a famous hotel. This structure underwent two failed face-lifts before the Florhof as it stands today came into being in 1995. This hotel, which is often booked up for long periods, sets a great deal of emphasis on comfort and contentment; all the rooms have an English-country decor, expertly sidestepping the danger of appearing kitschy. The boldly-patterned floral curtains and elegant, striped armchairs reinforce the image of the Florhof as an oasis of all things romantic. It is under a protection order for its historical value.
